Andrew Griffin lives and works in Durban, South Africa.

He is a graduate of the Technikon Natal's School of Photography.

Building on his training in large and medium format film photography, Andrew has worked as a professional photographer for 16 years.

For 12 of those years he was engaged in studio-based commercial photography at a leading national media solutions company. This same period saw him expand his skill set to encompass the new creative possibilities and workflow efficiencies of digital photography.

Actively involved in all stages of his work, from meticulous planning and reconnaissance through execution, digital post-production, and media management, Andrew's attention to detail is uncompromising.

Both a passion for and a command of lighting is evident in all of Andrew's work, whether it be choosing the perfect angle to light an in situ artwork or selecting the ideal vantage point and time of day to enhance the strengths of architecture.

It is Andrew's innate sense of the qualities of light that continue to make his images compelling.
